Context & Problem
Kitchen automation systems often struggle to balance usability, integration, & cost. This project required a team of four to design a collaborative robotic system where each member created a unique prototype that could function independently while contributing to the overall system.
Process & Approach
- Led team design discussions and developed an individual prototype (MixMate) as part of the larger collaborative system.
- Circuit Design: Built a Tinkercad circuit with an L293D motor driver and micro servo.
- Designed a Figma wireframe simulating the touchscreen drink menu for system integration.
- Prototype Demo: Produced a video presentation that showcased circuit design, functionality, and UI integration.
Results & Outcomes
- Delivered a functional drink-dispensing prototype that successfully simulated automated bartending.
- Stood out by combining hardware (Tinkercad) and UI design (Figma) into a unified experience.
- Strengthened leadership skills through team coordination and communication.
- Developed technical expertise in circuits, CAD, sensors, coding, and project management.
